A Note from School Nurse

Summer Time
It has been a privilege to serve our Logos community this past year. Like you, I too am looking forward to a fun-filled and relaxing summer break. Spending time with my children is a highlight of the summer break but also a challenge. What do I do with them all day long? What do I feed them? What activities can they participate in without emptying my wallet every week? Here is a great link for some fun family summer ideas:
https://www.cdc.gov/family/kids/summer/

Also I am reposting the link to the cooking as a family link Recipes-for-kids.

May you all take time to seek the Lord and His plan for your family this summer!

Logos Library Summer Reading Program

Did you know that children who read over the summer are better prepared for the coming school year and are less likely to experience the ‘summer slide’—the loss of reading and learning skills that often happens during the summer break? Reading during the summer months really does make a difference to your child’s learning!
Here’s how the Logos Library Summer Reading Program works:
Grade 1 & 2 students will receive Summer Bingo sheets to complete. For each Bingo Sheet completed, they will win a prize! The sheets will go home Monday, May 27. Replacement bingo sheets can be downloaded from the school website.
Grade 3 thru 5 students will receive a Calendar Reading Log for June & July. Replacement reading logs can be downloaded from the school website. Students will earn a prize for each monthly reading log they turn in! However, In order to earn a prize for a particular month, students must read a minimum of 350 minutes. Reading Logs will go home on Monday, May 27.
Grade 6 thru 11 students will be emailed a Reading Log. This reading log can also be found on the school website. Depending on how many minutes they read, secondary students have an opportunity to earn a Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum level prize!
